School Library Association NSW in partnership with Syba Academy invite you to register for a Cultural Weeding workshop with Kevin Hennah in two convenient Sydney locations. For more information and to register

Cultural Weeding Workshops

This Cultural Weeding workshop will fuse the best initiatives Kevin Hennah has found in his 10 years visiting libraries internationally, with his own ideas on what needs to change in order for libraries to remain relevant.

Kevin will explore:

  • The role of a contemporary school library
  • Strategies to help print compete with new technologies
  • Building on Dewey/exploring genre-driven layout
  • Innovations in signage
  • Contemporary display and marketing ideas
  • Creating independent and collaborative workspaces
  • Seating solutions for the various functions of a contemporary library
  • Image overhauls at all budget levels
  • Smart library design & renovation initiatives

SLANSW is supporting its members with a $100 subsidy off the advertised registration fee of $200 (plus GST).
