The idea of making, tinkering, engineering and creating is not a new one and ‘Makerspaces’ are the perfect partnership for libraries – where information is stored, accessed, shared, explored and wondered over. There are so many books which inspire children to tinker and help children to understand that mistake making is part of the process of creating. In this webinar all these ideas will be explored and an extensive list of ‘makerspace’ themed books will be discussed.

As a result of attending this webinar attendees will:

- See the connections to the national curriculum

- Understand how literature and makerspace concepts go hand in hand
